The client asked for a total renovation of their terrace behind Via Veneto. 

The arch form of the pergola enlarges the space vertically and echoes the cupolas of the surrounding roman churches. 

The pavement was selected to continue the interior living space and extend the floor plan through the large window and onto the terrace. 

The plants are all flowering and produce edible fruits (Feijoa, Passion fruit and akebia).

The diffused lighting is comprised of spots, installed in the vases among the plants. and a suspended light fixture hangs from the pergola.
